Special Needs

ARTreach works to create opportunities for children and adults with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities to help enable each person to be a participating and respected member of our community. Art activities, music and dance are stimulating and enriching and can help a person achieve the full extent of their ability and to grow in mind, body, and spirit.

ARTreach partners with agencies whose mission is to enrich and educate adults with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities and the school districts to bring art enrichment activities to preschool children with disabilities. ARTreach programs also support life skills through vocational art training and studio field trips.

Children and adults of all ages can benefit both mentally and physically from art related experiences that are enlightening, challenging and stimulating. ARTreach programs include music and dance programs designed to support physical education, as well as ceramics, sculpture and a range of collaborative visual art projects designed to support social skills and team work.
