About Katy ARTreach
Katy ARTreach is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides mentoring and art-related programs to a growing population of children at risk and to others in need. We develop unique programs that teach expressive arts, and that also help individuals develop a sense of self worth. These programs introduce, and provide an opportunity to practice, life skills that can help address issues such as anger management, depression, social dysfunction, grief, gang intervention, drug prevention and rehabilitation, student apathy, child abuse and recovery.

Katy ARTreach recruits volunteers and trains professional teaching artists to manage and staff these programs. We also secure the necessary funding to deliver a range of quality art, drama, music and dance programs to under-served communities and neglected populations that may not otherwise experience the arts as a part of the lives. Our organization leverages its core strengths by establishing active collaborations with local social service organizations, juvenile probation departments and independent school districts. ARTreach also utilizes resources available through other non profit art, theater and music organizations, plus local art businesses, to augment our art and educational outreach services.

Geographical Areas Served

We were established to serve the tri-county area of Katy, Texas including Fort Bend, Harris, and Waller Counties. We bridge services to the greater Houston area through our program subsidiary Houston ARTreach, and the greater Sugar Land and Richmond and Woodlands areas through our subsidiaries Fort Bend ARTreach and Woodlands ARTreach. Our outreach missions support national and international projects.
